Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of portable water pumps for a wide variety of agricultural, construction, rental, and residential applications. The product line consists of rugged, easy-to-use models in four different categories – de-watering, construction, multi-purpose, and submersible series.
While most Honda general purpose de-watering pumps are for moving relatively clean water, the construction – or trash – pumps are used for pumping water contaminated with sticks, leaves, stones and other waste materials. (Information about specific, approved chemicals is available at www.hondapowerequipment.com). Honda's stainless steel, electric submersible pumps are used for a wide range of residential and commercial sump applications.'
All 16 gasoline-powered pumps are equipped with Honda GX Series overhead valve (OHV) commercial grade engines or Honda's easy-starting mini four-stroke engines. Many models carry a three-year limited warranty for residential and commercial use.
De-Watering Pumps
Honda's de-watering pumps are designed for moving clean, uncontaminated water – excluding drinking water or flammable liquids – from one place to another. Typical applications for the general purpose pump series include irrigation, flood control, light construction, fire fighting and swimming pool drainage. Honda offers six general purpose models in three different categories – lightweight, deluxe and high pressure:

Construction Pumps
Honda's construction pumps are ideal for heavy-duty commercial and agricultural applications. Powered by Honda commercial grade OHV engines, the WT Series trash pumps feature full tubular frames, unique conical-shaped cast iron impeller and volute, replaceable stainless-steel wear plates, long-life silicon carbide water seals and lightweight cast aluminum pump housing. The WDP Series diaphragm pumps move wastewater containing up to 2.4” diameter solids and are designed for industrial applications including construction, agriculture, mining, and any application where shallow depths might be encountered. They also feature Honda's innovative shock-absorbing spring-loaded connecting rod.
Honda produces three trash models and one diaphragm pump model, each known for its superior performance and reliability in the most demanding conditions:

Choosing the Right Pump
Choosing the correctly sized pump for an application is equally as important as using the right type. One of the most important factors for consideration in making the right pump choice is the total head – a formula which equals the suction head plus the discharge head. Static suction head is the height from where the water (or other liquid) is drawn to the pump. Static discharge head is the height from the pump to the final destination of the liquid. Other factors that affect total dynamic head and discharge performance include hose diameter, length, material and sprinkler or nozzle use. Honda offers free pump calculation software and other sizing information at www.honda-pumps.com.
