Gerald Bruch is the vice president of Power Unit Operations and plant lead of both the Georgia Transmission Plant and the Ohio Transmission Plant (TMP) within Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC (HDMA). In this role, he oversees Honda facilities in Russells Point, Ohio and Tallapoosa, Georgia that manufacture automatic transmissions for internal combustion engines and two motor hybrid-electric systems for hybrid vehicles, along with gear sets and all-wheel drive systems.

Bruch started his career at Honda in 1991 as a cost analyst in Accounting at Honda of Canada Mfg. (HCM).

From June 1994 to June 2000, Bruch served in a variety of roles in Accounting with increased responsibility, culminating in the role of senior administrator.

In January 2005, Bruch transitioned to the Honda Transmission Plant-Georgia (TMP-G), formerly Honda Precision Parts Georgia, LLC, as division manager of the Finance and Accounting Division.

In 2011, Bruch was named manager of the Plant Operations Division, with responsibility for Accounting, Production Control, Purchasing, Information Systems, Facilities & New Model Departments.

In 2013, he became lead of the new model project team responsible for the global launch production of a new 10-speed automatic transmission.

In 2017, Bruch took on the role as manager of the Corporate Planning Division, overseeing all aspects of strategic and future planning including oversight of the Business Planning & New Model Departments.

In 2018, he was promoted to vice president and plant manager of HPPG, with responsibility for all plant operations.

In April 2021, HPPG became the Honda Transmission Plant-Georgia (TMP-G) as part of a corporate restructuring that unified all of Honda's auto manufacturing facilities in the U.S. into a single company: Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC. The Georgia Transmission Plant and Ohio Transmission Plant were brought together as one Transmission Plant business unit (TMP).

In 2021, Bruch moved to Ohio to become vice president and plant lead of TMP, overseeing the transmission plants in Ohio and Georgia.

In April 2024, TMP combined with the Anna Engine Plant and the powertrain quality and delivery teams of the Purchasing and Supply Chain Center to become the new Power Unit Operations (PUO) business unit of HDMA.

Bruch holds a B.A. in Commerce from the University of Toronto. In addition, he holds a Certified Management Accountants professional designation from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario (CPA, CMA).
