American Honda Continues Record-Breaking Growth in February
"Honda and Acura continue to demonstrate positive sales growth, despite an overall lukewarm economy," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of sales for American Honda. "It all comes back to product, and consumers continue to respond positively to our core vehicles."
Honda Division posted a record February with sales up 5.2 percent to 77,366 vehicles, led by a 23.4 percent surge in sales of the Accord. Year-to-date Honda Division sales of 151,149 rose 6.0 percent over year ago results.
Acura Division also posted its best ever February with sales of 13,677 vehicles, a 40.6 percent jump over last year's record. Acura year-to-date sales of 26,068 are up 39.1 percent over last year based on strong sales of the popular new MDX sport-utility vehicle and best-selling 3.2 TL luxury sedan.
