Honda Performance Development Joins IKON APD Motorsports; Begins Import Drag Program
As part of its continued expansion of the Honda Racing Line to the grassroots motorsports community, Honda Performance Development (HPD) is supporting the IKON-APD Motorsports team in 2011, in both the MotoIQ Pacific Tuner Car Championship and select import drag-racing events.
HPD has also unveiled a parts-support program for import drag-racing participants, offering a wide range of engine, chassis and component parts, as well as technical support, to grassroots racers throughout the country.
"Import drag racing is a large and vibrant racing segment," said Marc Sours, HPD general manager. "We are pleased to support this grassroots racing community for the first time in 2011, and we look forward to continuing and building our drag-racing relationships for years to come."
The HPD IKON-APD Motorsports effort began last month with Honda Day at New Jersey's ATCO Raceway, and continues on May 15 with the NOS "Import Face Off" event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
In addition to taking part in these events, IKON-APD Motorsports representatives will provide racers with information regarding the Honda Racing Line, and will assist interested competitors with registering for the program.
