Honda Breaks Ground on $100 Million Aircraft Headquarters
On Wednesday, June 27, Honda Aircraft Company, Inc., took the next major step toward delivering HondaJet into the hands of its customers, by breaking ground for its new $100 million headquarters and manufacturing facility at Piedmont Triad International (PTI) airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. The 368,000 square foot facility will bring more than 300 new jobs to the area. Honda Aircraft Company, Inc., manages the research, development, sales, marketing and manufacturing of the advanced light jet, HondaJet. Honda is working with the U.S. Green Building Council to earn the organization’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
