This year marks the 12th anniversary of the Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance and the 4th year in which Acura is serving as the title sponsor. The Acura Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance benefits the community outreach programs of the Palos Verdes Art Center and the Rotary Club of Palos Verdes Peninsula.

"Acura is proud to be a part of an event that provides such a positive influence in the local community," said Dennis Manns, assistant vice president, automobile marketing. "The concours allows us to support worthy local charities while creating a wonderful experience for Southern California residents."

The marque vehicle for the 2004 event is Rolls Royce in honor of their 100th anniversary. The Acura Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance features the finest automobiles in 20 classes. The vehicles are exhibited and judged in categories such as Horseless Carriage, American classics and American and European sports cars. This event continually attracts top exhibitors in their respective classes from all over Southern California and the western states.

Also benefiting from the funds raised at the annual Concours, the Center's "Art for Educators" program instructs area teachers how to integrate visual art education into the regular curriculum of math, science and language arts.
