Honda Launches Corporate Social Responsibility Statement for North America and Accompanying Website

In an ongoing effort to be "a company that society wants to exist," American Honda Motor Co, Inc. today announced its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Statement for North America and the launch of a complementary Corporate Social Responsibility website.

The Corporate Social Responsibility website will showcase Honda's efforts and dedication through four main pillars – environment, diversity, community, and education-- as well as a section detailing "what we believe." Each pillar will feature Honda associates and our community partners sharing programs and initiatives about which they are passionate. Through ongoing blog posts, photos and videos, we hope to highlight the stories of our community partners and share the great work they are doing. We welcome the online community to join in the conversation by commenting, sharing, participating in site surveys and creating content.

CSR Statement for North America

The launch of the CSR website coincides with Honda's announcement of a Corporate Social Responsibility Statement for North America. Reflecting Honda's long-standing humanistic philosophy, the statement affirms the company's stance on key social values, including human rights, working conditions, business ethics, diversity, environmental stewardship and community involvement. The statement highlights Honda's goal of being "a company that society wants to exist." Read the full statement.

Honda is well-known for its diverse lineup of quality automobiles under the Honda and Acura nameplates, and for its motorcycles, ATVs, power products, and marine engines. But the company is about far more than creating innovative products that exceed customer expectations. Since its establishment, Honda has been committed to developing technologies that make peoples lives better, and to developing long-lasting partnerships with the communities where we work and live.
