Kazuhiro Takizawa

Kazuhiro Takizawa is the president & CEO and director of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., (AHM), and the chief officer of Regional Operations (North America) for parent company Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

Takizawa joined Honda in 1990, initially assigned to the European Automobile Sales Division of Honda Motor Co.

In 1996, he assumed responsibility for automobile sales for Honda Motor Europe in the U.K.

In 1999, Takizawa returned to Honda Motor Co. in the Domestic Automobile Sales Division.

In 2004, he was assigned to the South America Automobile Sales Division of Honda Motor Co.

In 2008, Takizawa became general manager of automobile sales for Honda Motor de Argentina S.A., where he played a key role in the startup of auto production in Argentina.

In 2012, he was named president of Honda del Peru S.A., responsible for sales of automobiles, motorcycles and power products.

In 2015, Takizawa returned to Honda Motor Co. as manager of Domestic Automobile Sales in Japan.

In 2018, he was named general manager of the Automobile Division of Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (ASH) in Thailand, where he was responsible for product planning for the Asia & Oceania Region.

In 2019, Takizawa was named president & CEO of Honda de Mexico S.A., de C.V., with responsibility for production and sales of automobiles, motorcycles and power products.

In April 2021, he became general manager of the Automobile Division of Europe, Africa and Middle East Regional Operations.

In June 2023, he became executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., and the vice chief officer of North American Regional Operations for Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

In April 2024, Takizawa became the president & CEO and director of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and an executive officer of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., in addition to the chief officer of Regional Operations (North America).
