Monica Oliverio is vice president of General Administration at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (AHM), overseeing regionalized services including Facilities, Corporate Services, Company Vehicle Administration and Indirect Procurement.

Oliverio began her career at Honda in 1994 as a parts buyer for the Motorcycle Purchasing Divison of Honda of America Mfg. Inc. (HAM).

In December 1996, she became project coordinator for Purchasing at HAM, leveraging her supply chain experience to assist in the development and implementation of a new planning system that supported Honda’s growing manufacturing operations in Ohio.

In February 2000, Oliverio returned to Motorcycle Purchasing as project leader where she supported several assignments including model buildouts and new model launches.

In March 2001, she took on the role as team manager of Motorcycle Purchasing Parts Delivery, leading the day-to-day supply chain operations, supplier relationship management, and supplier development initiatives.

In October 2007, she became cost leader in North American Purchasing Powersports Procurement, rounding out her purchasing experience with OEM parts sourcing and cost analysis.

In July 2008, she assumed the team manager position of Mass Production Parts Delivery for the Marysville Auto Plant (MAP), with responsility to lead mass production purchasing for Honda’s largest automobile plant in the U.S.

In July 2009, Oliverio became manager of Information Systems and Business Applications at HAM, responsible for indirect purchasing and accounting technology, where she developed systems strategy and led application, technical and functional support operations.

In June 2012, she transitioned back to Purchasing, becoming manager of Strategic Sourcing at HAM, where she led the indirect procurement strategic sourcing  and category management functions for Honda’s manufacturing facilities in Ohio and Indiana. 

In January 2014, Oliverio became senior manager of the North American Indirect Procurement (NAIP) Department, leading source-to-contract and procurement operations and overseeing a global SAP (System Application and Product) implementation and business transformation of Honda’s source-to-pay business processes.

In October 2020, she led the unification of HAM and AHM indirect procurement functions, establishing the NAIP Division at AHM, a regional indirect procurement organization providing procurement shared services for AHM and Honda manufacturing facilities in Ohio and Indiana. 

In April 2021, she took on additional responsibility when NAIP expanded procurement shared services to the newly formed Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC (HDMA), unifying all indirect purchasing functions and teams in the U.S.

In April 2022, Oliverio was promoted to assistant vice president of the NAIP Division.

In March 2023, she assumed her current role as vice president of General Administration at AHM, responsible for AHM Facilities and Corporate Services, Company Vehicle Administration and North American Indirect Procurement.

Oliverio has a B.S. in Process and Operations Management from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.
